With its cooling influence from the San Pablo Bay which allows the grapes to reach their full ripeness while retaining a high acidity, Napa Carneros is the perfect region for growing Pinot Noir for Rosé. The grapes were picked slightly early to ensure a lively wine. They were then destemmed and very lightly crushed – just enough to break the skins and allow the wine to run. This was followed by very gentle pressing and a cool fermentation.
